Trump’s Immigration Ban

Covid-19 has not been a pleasant time for anyone and might not get better for a while. As we all know, there has been limitations on traveling in order to try and prevent the virus from spreading in and out of the country. Now, an immigration ban has been put in place suspending entry of immigrants, not only to prevent the spread of the virus, but to limit an excess labor supply following this economic decline due to Covid-19. More importantly, how does this ban effect YOU?

Let’s get right into it and see who will NOT be affected by this ban! If you fall under the following list, you are SAFE from this ban:

  • If you are inside the United States already
  • US Citizens
  • Lawful Permanent Resident
  • Green Card Holders
  • If you are in a position to help minimize the effects of Covid-19
  • Investors in the EB-5 process
  • Spouses of U.S. Citizens
  • Non-immigrant/Temporary visas such as E-2 visas, Student Visas, etc.
  • Anyone in the middle of an investigation while waiting for a visa in exchange
  • EB-2 National Interest Waiver applicants

If you fall under any of these categories, you are SAFE from the immigration ban! To hear more about this Immigration Ban, follow the link to our youtube where you can find FREE information on a number of immigration topics.

Although Covid-19 has put a pause to many businesses around the world, we at The Ribeiro Law Firm have not stopped helping our amazing clients achieve the Green Card Life. This is a temporary ban, so it is possible that restrictions are either added or taken off after the 60 day period that ends on June 23, 2020. This is why we are encouraging immigrants to take this time and use it to their advantage. We are helping our clients get a step ahead in the application process by preparing their petitions so they can be first in line to receive their Green Card!
